HAPPY NEW YEAR !!

It's been an exciting start to 2013 at Hippo ! We've started the New Year by working with Foruli Limited Edition Books and Records on a series of Art Prints of Iggy Pop. We produced giclee prints from photographs by Mick Rock and printed them onto beautiful vibrance metallic photographic paper. We then hand screenprinted Iggy's hand written song lyrics on top.

We are very proud to have been asked by the lovely people at HyperGallery to screenprint, in 5 different flourescent inks, onto the black and white giclee print of the De La Soul boys faces ! We've just completed this edition of 8 colour screenprints for Trevor Schofield. The image is made up of 4 small portraits and is based on an original oil painting. The aim was to try to achieve a good rendition of the thick textured paint on the original, in a flat screenprint ! We think we did this very well - and the customer was happy !!

NEW !!! - We've just completed a beautiful portfolio of 3 Watchmen screenprints for John Higgins - co-creator of Judge Dredd, Watchmen, Razorjack etc etc.

This portfolio consists of three 4 colour halftone hand-pulled screenprints of Silk Spectre, The Comedian and Rorschach from the Watchmen graphic novels. Created from hand drawn and coloured images by John Higgins and produced exclusively for the San Diego Comic-Con 2011.
